Mobile Game Promotion

You and your development team created a mobile game and you’re ready to launch, what to do next?

If you want to see your game growing day by day the only thing you need to invest is time and effort. There’s no need for investing a lot of money when you’re starting out, since you don’t know how people will react to your game.

There’s a possibility that users don’t like the game you created so investing money before testing everything out is definitely not recommended.

Since we mentioned there’s no need to invest a lot of money, today we’re going to give you a lot of useful tips on mobile game promotion for free!

1. Being There For Your Users

These days, people will only stay loyal to your game only if they have a very good reason to. Customer support is a crucial part of your mobile game promotion and if you do it right, you will show that you care and value each user equally.

Being able to build a relationship between your game and your user has an impact on every department of your company and can also help achieve their respective goals.

Remember that customers today are not merely interested in the product or service they are buying, but also the value of add-on elements they get.

According to Marketing Metrics, the probability of selling to an existing happy customer is up to 14x higher than the probability of selling to a new customer.

2. Screenshots of Your Mobile Game

This visual proof only shows the best things that you made for your mobile game promotion. It’s like you’re showing a trailer for a movie but with screenshots.

It is extremely important that users know what’s waiting for them before they even start playing. Many users will base their final decision just by the appeal of your screenshots.

According to Statista screenshots make up almost 75% of the app listing in search results.

Screenshot localization

Screenshot localization is slowly becoming one of the most important marketing strategies out there for your mobile game promotion. Many developers focus their marketing campaigns only on the United States, but according to Gummicube China has actually surpassed the US in iOS downloads, and Japan continues to produce the most revenue for Google Play.

When localizing your mobile game, don’t just focus on the title, description and keywords. Focus on the words on the screenshots that you publish. Try to make a few localized screenshots for multiple regions and different languages and keep track of your results.

Many data collectors have reported that games with localized screenshots had a significant boost in downloads compared to screenshots that only use English language.

3. Promotional Services

Keep in mind that when you publish your mobile game people will not know about it right away. Today’s competitive market means that you need to bring a lot of value to your users.

Choosing between making your app free or paid is your number one priority. When you make a decision, consider adding coupon codes or promotions for in-app purchases so you can attract more downloads and satisfied users.

If you decided to make a free app, here’s a few monetization methods that can help you along the way.

Making an online promo video is one of the best ways for attracting a lot of engagement and downloads. Videos are promotional powerhouses gaining millions and millions of views on a daily basis.

Just imagine how many videos you see across different social media platforms and how they impact your lifestyle.

App promotional videos help you tell a story for your game and they bring visual proof same as screenshots. When making a video, it is important to focus on the things that matter to you the most.

What visual aspects of your game are most important? How am I able to make an emotional connection between a potential user when they watch it?

These questions matter since not every development team and mobile game have the same story and benefits they contribute to an user.

There’s no need for your promo video to be too long, approx. 30 seconds is enough for you to introduce your brand. Make the most out of those 30 seconds and state the most important benefits that a potential user is going to get if they download your game.

I think everything published was actually
very reasonable. But, what about this? what if you were
to write a killer headline? I am not saying your
content isn’t good, but what if you added a
post title that grabbed a person’s attention? I mean 15 Free Mobile Game Promotion Methods – Game Business
is kinda vanilla. You could peek at Yahoo’s home page
and see how they create news titles to grab people interested.
You might add a video or a picture or two to get people interested about what you’ve got to say.

Just my opinion, it could make your blog a little livelier.
